Headmistress who did romantic photoshoot with the student suspended

The headmistress of Government High School in Murugamalla, located in the Chintamani taluk of Chikkaballapur district, has faced suspension due to allegations of inappropriate behavior with a student during a recent school excursion. Authorities reported the circulation of a viral photo depicting the head teacher engaged in a romantic photoshoot with a student on December 29.

The controversial photos reveal the student and headmistress in various compromising poses, including the student kissing her on the cheek, tugging at her saree, and even lifting her in his arms. The principal’s conduct in the photoshoot, characterized by embraces and affectionate gestures toward the student, prompted widespread attention on social media on Thursday, December 28.

In response to the incident, Umadevi, the Education Officer of Chintamani District, visited the school to conduct an inquiry. She interviewed teachers, students, and kitchen staff who participated in the learning excursion to Horanadu, Dharmasthala, Yana, and other places from December 22 to 25, during which the alleged incident took place.

Umadevi clarified that the viral photos were taken by another student, and apart from the two involved students and the headmistress, no other staff or students were aware of the incident.

Based on the Education Officer’s recommendation, P Bailanjanappa, the District Deputy Director of the School Education Department, issued an order to temporarily suspend the headmistress from duty pending a departmental investigation.
